Let the baking begin!

Step one in creating these awesome Halloween cake pops is making the cake. You can use your favorite cake mix recipe, or if you want to keep things simple use a box mix! To create the ghost shape you will need to use a mold. We used these molds from Amazon.

These silicone popsicle molds are a must-have. They are perfect for baking cake pops but you can also freeze liquid in them to make popsicles! It’s so easy to slide the wooden sticks in and throw them in the oven! I would suggest pouring the mix in just below the top of the mold because the cake will rise as it bakes.

Adjust the oven time and temperature to your recipe. Due to the cake pop’s small size, they will bake more like cupcakes than a full cake. Test with a fork or toothpick, if the center is firm your cake pops are done!

Let the cake pops cool and then using a knife, level them with the mold so that you have a perfectly formed spooky Halloween cake pop!

Next, melt some white chocolate and use a spatula to spread the chocolate along the top side of the cake pop. We love to add drizzle melted chocolate and some sprinkles for extra pastel fun!

To create the ghost eyes, melt semi-sweet chocolate chips and plop them on using a skewer!
