We are getting ready for chilly weather here and just in time. Yesterday was very cold! I am loving Noah’s new Bobble Hat and Scarf set from Mini Boden, it is so cozy and colorful! Noah loves painting right now so we decided to paint some wooden frames last week. He painted his blue and pink and I decided to do mine to match his new hat set so that I could hang a picture of him wearing the hat in the frame and it would all coordinate!!
This is a super fun project for kids of any age, and can be used to hang your favorite portraits, art projects or to give as a gift. We have also had friends put there children’s hand print on the frame too which I think is a great idea. Noah loves to get messy so I let him finger paint on his, such a fun time!
To make your own frame follow these simple steps:
Buy a wooden frame and craft acrylic paint at your local craft store
Paint the frame in a color of your choice. Let dry.
Have your child choose multiple colors to paint the frame. Noah just used a brush and his fingers but I used painters tape to create stripes on mine. We have also used foam dotters and potatoes punched out in shapes in the past for a fun design.
I hope you get to try this fun project with your little ones & bundle up to stay warm!!
