UI’s Fun & Funky 2nd day of Christmas!

I don’t know if you have all eaten the wondefullness that is peppermint bark, if you have you know exactly what I am talking about, if not you are really missing out! I always have admired the cute little packages of peppermint bark scattered around the stores every holiday season and with it being so popular with those who are so hard to shop for (that is the men in my life such as my father, father-in-law, grandfathers & uncles who I am always searching for any gift) So this year I decided to make it myself and it turned out wonderful and was so easy that I wanted to share it with you.
I found crushed peppermint in the bulk candy section at wegmans and then purchased chocolate candy wafers. I did a batch with dark chocolate, one with white chocolate and one with milk chocolate. They all turned out good I think the white looks the prettiest but the dark taste’s the best. When it is all done I packaged it in clear cellophane bags with polka dots on them and tied it with a red and white polka dot ribbon. I now have lots of great presents for all of those chocolate lovers in my life!

Peppermint Bark

Crushed candy canes (wegmans) or you can buy candy canes and crush them your self
milk, white or dark chocolate wafers for melting (you could also use chocolate chips if you don’t have the other available)
parchment paper
cookie sheet
Cute clear gift bags
decorative ribbon

Melt the chocolate as directed on bag
Stir in the peppermint
Spread parchment paper on cookie sheet and then pour chocolate mix on paper, spread so it is to preferred thickness. (I like to make a little swirling pattern with a knife in the top of the chocolate)
Take some leftover crushed peppermints and sprinkle them on top for added cuteness
Stick in refrigerator until hard
Pull out and break into pieces
Bag and tie on pretty bows
Start gifting!
