Floral and Fawna is one of my absolute favorite Whimsical Shops, and this week I’m so excited to share about them! There is nothing I love more than supporting shops that take me back to my childhood days of make-believe play.
My dear friend Nia Box is the owner and co-founder of this one-of-a-kind shop, Floral and Fawna. Nia has created a variety of beautifully handcrafted critters that make absolutely stunning pieces of art. She began creating these little critters after searching for handmade animal dolls to go with her daughter’s dollhouse.
When Nia couldn’t find what she was looking for, she decided to create her own animal dolls and found that she had fallen in love with the sweet critters she had brought to life. As she continued to tweak her designs and create new animal friends, she couldn’t help but share her passion for these fun creations with everyone!
Floral and Fawna has been offering handmade tiny critters made from organic cotton and bamboo fabrics, since 2017! “My little one is a year old and I wanted a product that was safe for her to play with as she grows,” said Nia, as she described the reason behind her design choice.
Each one of Floral and Fawna’s animal creations is hand-embroidered, which gives each critter its own unique flair. These magical little creatures are perfect for dollhouse play and are safe enough for precious little hands to hold as they discover the world of make-believe.

Floral & Fawna Q&A:
How long have you been creating for?
I started creating my critters in December 2017. I had been looking all over for handmade animal dolls to go with the dollhouse I was building for my little girl. When I couldn’t find any that matched my vision, I created my own!
What’s your favorite sweet treat?
I am not a big “sweets” fan but will take a bite of a cinnamon roll if you offer one to me.
What or who inspires you?
My daughter is my biggest inspiration!
What’s your best selling product?
My little hedgehogs are by far the best sellers.
What is one thing you like to do when you’re not working?
When I am not busy creating, my daughter and I LOVE being outdoors. Our favorite is going on long runs, hikes, and paddleboarding.
