Our studio started out as just that, my photography studio and it was closed off from the rest of the house most of the time in hopes of keeping it clean for sessions! Over the last 6 months, I decided I don’t care about being picked up and clean all the time but I do care about having fun indoor places for my kids to have fun and use those always amazing imaginations, so I created this space. I still shoot in here and just use the props for clients sessions or shoot on the one unused wall and on all the pretty doors and I couldn’t be happier about it. The space is so bright and cheerful and now the doors always stay open from the living room into the studio so we can all enjoy it!
I’m a huge fan of floor seating and so are all of our critters! I made this sweet little sofa on the floor by using a pillowcase bed my mom made for the kids and then put a vintage quilt and lots of my favorite pillows on it.
Now that Miss Libby is going to be a big sister I thought it would be fun to create a little nursery for her baby dolls where she can play mommy and baby, she’s going to be such a good big sister, she has such a loving little heart!
I have a crush on tiny dolls and am totally smitten with this little pear house! I am having so much fun collecting little dolls to fill it up and am loving it in its new home on the studio window sill.
I bought this desk at a second-hand store for Noah and he and I painted it to go into the studio. I have been wanting a special spot for him to keep all of his art supplies as he is becoming quite the little artist lately! He goes over and gets his things out and sits and works away diligently and it makes my heart all happy inside!
Doesn’t everyone have a swing or two for that matter in their house!? I guess I’m a little crazy but it certainly does make for a lot of giggles in the house! The kids love to swing and I couldn’t resist adding this gorgeous woven swing to our collection. It fits in perfectly and now the kids can swing next to each other.
