Grandma’s Coffee Cake Recipe

grandma's coffee cake with a pretty plate and rock candy

There is nothing that warms my heart more than having a slice of my grandma’s delicious coffee cake. I remember growing up and going over to my grandma’s house. Her home was filled with the sweet aroma of yummy treats baking in the oven. Her coffee cake was by far one of her favorites to make and has been a staple treat in our family and a beloved favorite!

crumbles for the coffee cake

I love whipping up a batch of Grandma’s coffee cake for family get-togethers, seasonal potlucks or as a baking activity to do with my kids. I always tell my kids that it tastes the best served on a pretty plate with your favorite hot beverage or special candy. My favorite is rock candy with tea or coffee and for my kids is a delicious cup of hot chocolate. I know that I am making memories with my kids, just like my grandma did with me. I am so grateful to have those memories, now that I am a mom.
