A bag of mermaid popcorn would make the perfect favor for a mermaid birthday party or display it in a jar on the snack table. It’s fun festive and delicious! What more could you ask for?
This kids love when we make fun treats and this one is no different. They love being able to drizzle the chocolate all over the popcorn and add different sprinkles and other fun candies to make it colorful and delicious! They really enjoy these fun snacks and love getting a special treat that is so easy to make!
You will need:
- Popcorn
- Chocolate melts
- Your favorite candy add-ins
Directions:
- Pop your popcorn and then put it into a big mixing bowl.
- Meltdown your chocolate melts, we used pink and blue.
- Add some of you melted chocolate to the popcorn and mix it around.
- Then add you add-ins, we used mermaid sprinkles, purple, pink, and blue M&M’s, and Vanilla Wafers.
- Once everything is mixed in, spread the popcorn out on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Spread it evenly, and then take the remaining chocolate and drizzle it all over the popcorn. This helps with the popcorn sticking together and then you can make it into chunks.
- Let it cool, break it into chunks, and enjoy!
