Fruity Pebbles Milkshake

I am so excited to start sharing new drink recipes with you all! We are working on a new milkshake, tea, smoothies, and everything in between! Creating special drinks at home for me is so special because we don’t live near any coffee shops so if I want a special drink I have to make it for myself! Within the last year, I decided I wanted to learn to make these not only for myself but so the kids can enjoy them as a special treat.

I have a dear friend who used to own a coffee shop and she has been helping me come up with these new recipes! This one here is a fruity pebbles milkshake and it is so delicious.

I was a little scared at first about how this was going to turn out because I thought it would be more for the kids than myself, but I ended up loving it just as much as they did and I can’t wait to make it again!

We had a milkshake like this before actually when we stayed down in Florida to adopt Claire. There was this little place down from our hotel we would go every day to get lemonades and milkshakes. The kids always loved getting it and I always wondered how they made it without getting the strange texture of soggy cereal. I found out what you do is take the cereal and let it soak in milk, then you strain out the cereal and you use just the milk that is now flavored like Fruity Pebbles to create your milkshake.

If you love this recipe, you’ll be overjoyed with our Drink Recipe eBook!

To do this I used about 2-2.5 cups of milk and maybe 3-4 cups of fruity pebbles. You let this soak in the fridge for about an hour or so and then you use a strainer to dump out the fruity pebbles and the milk into a bowl! Then all you need to do is add your ice cream. I used Vanilla and added between 2-3 cups, but it really is to your taste. I then put it in the blender to get it all mixed up! I dipped my cup into a little melted chocolate then rolled it into some fruity pebbles, put whipped cream on the time, and then crushed up some fruity pebbles on the top!

This was a very special treat that I know I will be making for the kids when we need a little pick me up or just want a special treat! I highly recommend you get the ingredients to make this because it tasted super yummy!

I hope that you guys try it and let me know how you like it! If you do make it and share it on Instagram make sure you tag us @livesweet and #livesweetrecipes
