Today He is Four

Today he is 4. Four, how can it be that my little baby that I can still remember holding in my arms for the first time as if it were yesterday is now four. I find myself having a much harder time believing that I could possibly be a mother of a four year old than I do even believing that he is already four. It has been an amazing journey so far, it has had it’s ups and downs for sure, after four years that flew by I know that parenting isn’t easy, it isn’t for the weak or the faint of heart, not for the lazy or the selfish but boy is it ever rewarding and the best job and biggest honor you could have. I am the mother of a four year old, have I made mistakes, of course (a lot) but I try hard and I love him with all I have. I learn something new everyday as does he and he is usually the one who teaches me what I learn! I am overwhelmed with the blessing he has been in my life, his kind and loving heart, his gentle and sweet nature and his spunky and energetic personality. I have always wanted to be a mother, to have my own little one to care for and love but never could have imagined the love and joy he has brought into my life. He has made me want to be a better person, a better girl to play and create with him, a better wife to show how much I love his father and how a family should care for each other, a better woman by wanting to share Gods love and my faith with him, a better friend by trying to share and care more for others than myself  and a better mother to try and raise him the best I can and show him unconditional love everyday. Today I am the mother of a four year and I couldn’t be happier! He has change my life forever and I will forever more be known as mom. There is no other name I would rather be called. I love him to the moon and back and always will!

We had a wonderful day out at my parents with our family! He had a ball playing with lots of good family and friends and enjoying his presents! His Aunt Cece and I snuck him away for a few minutes to grab some birthday shots of him. He is usually being a super hero these days and I was so excited to find an awesome cape that I could have customized with his initial on it to give him for his birthday, if you are looking for an awesome cape check out Little Hero Capes here! He also got a light saber and awesome bubble maker from his Great Aunt Jennifer which he had a ball playing  with and they made for excellent photo props! So here he is doing what he does best “be’s cute”
