Who else has some big-time Spring fever this year?! I think it’s been especially bad for me this year since we didn’t do any traveling to get out of the cold weather and we haven’t been having our normal indoor get-togethers throughout the winter like we have in years past. I’m ready for some big changes on so many fronts and as we anticipate the arrival of Spring and healthier times when we can get together more with friends and entertain a little again I decided to give our living room a little makeover!
I have moved the furniture around in this living room more times than I care to admit but I’m especially loving the cozy feeling I’m getting in here now. We don’t have a tv in this room anymore, we moved it into the kid’s playroom so that this room is more for cuddling and reading and just hanging out.
We added this cute new rug to the room and it really pulls it all together and makes the space feel more put together. The room is so much more inviting now than it was and I find us all using it a lot more. We all love to cuddle under blankets every time we sit down so I made sure to put a blanket on each piece of furniture for easy snuggling! I love to decorate in whimsical pieces that bring me joy and am constantly changing things up but that makes me happy so it works! It’s always easier for me to keep a room picked and organized when I have it decorated in a way that I love it in the first place. If I don’t love how it looks I don’t take the time to keep up with it. It of course still continuously gets trashed, because well we live here and there are six of us so it’s a lot, but within about fifteen minutes I can have the room picked up and put back together looking cute as can be!
