Pastel Candy Bark

I am sure most of you have heard of peppermint bark and like me probably love it when it comes holiday time! As much as I enjoy the peppermint candy treat around the holidays it just doesn’t work for me the rest of the year so what is a girl to do but create a fun new version of yummy! So I decided to mix things up a bit and create a version that was more colorful and fruity to last the whole year through. Here is the recipe for my pastel bark that is sure to be cute, crunchy, sweet & chocolatey. You can change the colors of the hard candy and m&m’s to match a specific party theme or choose some sweetie’s favorite color and make there day.

Pastel Candy Bark

12oz. semi sweet chocolate chips

1 cup rise krispies

12oz. white chocolate chips

about 1/2 cup m&m’s color of your choice

about 1/2 cup crushed hard candy or candy canes in color of your choice

Line cookie sheet with parchment paper, melt semi sweet chips, pour on parchment paper and sprinkle with rice krispies.Put in refrigerate until hard. Melt white chocolate and pour over hardened first layer then sprinkle m&m’s & crushed hard candy over the white chocolate. Press the candy bits into chocolate lightly to help them stay in chocolate. Place in refrigerator again until completely hardened. Remove and cut or break into pieces. Put in cute jars and give to someone special or serve at your next party!

I hope your family and friends enjoy this as much as we have. This was one of the gifts I made for Christmas this year and everyone has been loving it!

Love Lindsey
