Mermaid Trail Mix

We are so excited to be celebrating mermaids 🧜🏾‍♀️ for the whole month of July!! I’m having a blast coming up with fun mermaid treats for the kiddos and I can’t wait to share them all here with you!

Since we aren’t traveling this summer or even getting out of the house much I wanted to really try and make things extra special at home for the kids. They haven’t been in a store in months so I’ve been trying to get a few special snacks or gifts for them when I do a target pick up or place an amazon order online. We’ve been doing a ton more baking, swimming and activities around the house which honestly has been so fun and special!

I love having easy snacks to throw in a bowl or bag and take out on the porch or down to the lake so I’ve been obsessed with making all kinds of trail and chex mixes lately and with the inspiration of mermaid month I thought we absolutely needed some mermaid trail mix! It can be tricky to find the pastel-colored m and m’s but I was able to order mine from www.ohnuts.com. Their delivery is fast and they have tons of fun colored candy for special treats!

The rest of the ingredients I just added to our target pick up or I already had them around the house.

  • 1 bag pink goldfish
  • 1 bag white cheddar goldfish
  • Assorted m and m’s we bought pink, Aqua, lavender and baby blue for this mix
  • Several cups of Cheerios
  • 2 bags of yogurt covered raisins
  • 1 can of honey roasted peanuts

Directions:

  1. Mix together all of the above ingredients
  2. Enjoy!

You can of course switch out for some other favorites you might have. I like to store my trail mix in a large glass air tight container so it’s on display. I’ve picked up or ordered several scoops over the years and they come in handy to put in the jars for easy scooping to serve!
