I have been so excited to start this series on the blog but between the planning, travel and now adjusting to a newborn in the house again it has taken me awhile to get started. Better late than never though right! I am hoping to share some daily photo tips at least a couple times a month here, maybe more often if you guys are loving it, so make sure you comment and let me know if you would like to see more!
Most of the images I will share with you will have been taken on my Iphone 4S because I always have my phone on me and only get out my SLR every so often and I would rather a picture of the moment from my phone than no picture at all. I will let you know when the pictures are from my SLR but part of this series is to share with you that you don’t need special expensive equipment to capture your children in their everyday lives. My professional portraits mean so much to me and I of course have them plastered all over my walls but I can’t tell you how happy I am to have daily life pictures of my sweeties too, showing all of our, love, laughter, imperfections, relationships and us just being us!
Love Life Photo Inspiration 1: Shoot from different angles
Tuesday Noah, Libby and I went to play out in the snow. I really wanted to get a couple of good pictures of Noah playing in the snow knowing that it might be one of the last snows of the season but as you all know it is hard to get a four year old playing in the snow to be still so I had to come up with a way to capture him during play. The first image Noah is climbing up the slide ladder, I love that I was able to capture him straight on. It is great to get right on the same level as your kiddos to capture their sweet expressions. When Noah was sledding I got the image on the right as he was going down the hill so I was shooting from above him. This is another great angle to capture your children from. It took me several shots for both of these images to get just the right one. I always shoot several different angles when Im photographing the kids because I never know which one I am going to like the best. Move around and don’t be afraid to get creative that’s when you get the best images!
These images where taken with my Iphone and edited with the wonderful app PicTapGo
If you have any questions you would like to have answered or have specific things you would like to learn more about please leave me a comment or send me a message and I will try and help out. I am so excited to share about two of my biggest passions here with you, my photography and my babies! I hope you all enjoy this series as much as me and don’t forget to get out there and photograph your family in their everyday life!
NicoleSo kind of you to share some insightful, helpful tips with us. Also, great idea to just get out and do it, don’t miss those moments due to lack of an expensive camera or waiting for extra time nicole
