Kidkraft Playhouse Makeover

I have been searching for the perfect playhouse for the kids for years. I wanted something big enough that they could real play in it a lot and enjoy it for many years but something that was also small enough to fit on our deck. I also knew I wanted something I could paint and personalize to make match my pastel style! I was so excited when I found this sweet Modern Outdoor Playhouse by KidKraft It is seriously the cutest! The kids couldn’t be anymore in love and Libby asks to play in it everyday!

The kids are seriously having so much fun in here and I love looking out at them playing away! Libby loves to play shop in it best and have everyone come order things from her. Finn just loves opening and closing the door and going in and out and playing peek a boo through the windows!

If you want to do a makeover on your playhouse I wanted to share a bit about what we did. We painted the whole outside except the trim of the playhouse, we also painted the inside and the roof as well. I then changed out the fabric curtains on the side from red to our cute Live Sweet Shop donut curtains. I also added some lace behind the top windows for some fun added texture and a little curtain on the outside window with some 3m adhesive. I also picked up some little round lanterns from Target and strung them around the roof. I put down a fabulous washable rug from our favorite Lorena Canals . We also took off the flag from the mail box and chalkboard and spray painter them aqua, they were red as well. It’s amazing how some simple changes can personalize and make even a little playhouse fit your style. We are so in love and can’t wait to see how this inspires all of you to maker over your littles playhouses!
