Introducing Our New Puppy!

Say hello to Winnie!

Our sweet baby Shih-tzu is here and as you can see she is cuter than we ever could have dreamed! My kids and I have been in puppy heaven ever since she arrived. Thankfully, she has been adjusting beautifully to things here at home and is the perfect combination of playful, cuddly, and sweet.  She is a dream and I am so excited to share her with you!

It was definitely a process choosing her name. Originally I had narrowed it down to two of my favorites; Lotti and Tilli. However, I really wanted to spend some time with her before making any final decisions. Within a few days I realized that neither of the names I had originally thought of fit her personality. So, I went to Instagram and gathered some of my friend’s favorite names.

I loved the response from all of you but one suggestion stuck out to me, Winnie. It’s sound resonated so sweetly with me, I loved it and it fit her perfectly. I decided to try it out on her and called across the room saying, “Winnie, Winnie come here!” Her little face perked up and she immediately looked over in my direction and came running. It was like Winnie was meant to be her name all along.

Winnie is my baby and I immediately fell in love with her the moment I saw her. The kids play with her all the time but Winnie was truly meant to be my special companion.  Most of you know I lost my sweet Maggie pup back in November and her passing was one of the hardest moments of 2019 for me. Maggie was my sweet Shih-tzu and my best fluffy friend. She was by my side for 15 wonderful years and I didn’t know how long it would take before I was ready for a new dog.  After some time my heart was finally ready.

My life is quite full with all the fluffy critters and children running around but I love having a new fluffy baby by my side while I work and do things around the house. We are so in love with her and she has already brought so much joy to our family.

Pin this idea for later!
