June is adopt a shelter kitty month! What better way to celebrate than to share with you lots of adorable kitties from the Hillside SPCA in Pottsville PA were I visited a few weeks ago. Purina has partnered with 50 shelters from around the country and Hillside was one of them! During the month of June you can share your cat adoption or rescue story and hashtag it #MyRescueStory on social media and Purina will help with a cat adoption fee- a donation of $30 per cat! So let’s help out by either adopting a kitty or sharing our adoption story during the month of June and make a difference in lots of little kitty lives!!

Meet cupcake, she was such a sweet dolly! Cupcake was surrendered along with 20 other cats because the owner kept getting new kittens and then left all her kitties behind. All but 9 of the cats have been adopted already but cupcake and the others still need forever homes!
This is Casey and he was such a handsome guy! He was very friendly and looking for someone to cuddle! He looks royal to me!
Hillside SPCA had lots of teeny kitties to choose from so if you were hoping to adopt a kitten I’m sure you would be able to find a little love!
This is Cheese Demon and she had quite the personality! She loves Desiree who is an active volunteer and on the board of the Hillside SPCA! Desiree and Cheesy girl have such a special bond. Every time Desiree comes in to help at the shelter Cheese jumps right up and perches on her shoulder! It was the cutest thing to watch her lounging on Desiree’s shoulder as she tended to the other cats! Poor Cheese Demon had been thrown in a grocery bag and left to die as a kitten but the shelter brought her in and saved her, her one eye could not be saved but other than that she is a sweet and healthy kitty who deserves a forever home. She gets her name “Cheese Demon” because she is always the first to snatch up the cheesy kitty snacks everyday! I think she would make such a special companion for a special person!
TheHillside SPCA provides wonderful open living area for their cats and they even have little outdoor patios! I hope that you have enjoyed seeing all of these sweet kitties and if you’ve been considering adding a furry friend to your family maybe nows the time to visit Hillside SPCA or your local shelter and adopt a sweet kitty friend! They have so much love to offer!
