I was looking for a pretty fabric flower to make that I could use to decorate purses, gift bags and other packages that could then be worn as hair clips or pins to dress up your favorite purse or sweater! After looking at a bunch of different DIY fabric flower ideas online I was ready to get to work.
1) Cut 1 base fabric flower or circle to use as your base, then cut 4 circles the same size out of a different fabric.
2) Cut a smaller circle out of your wool felt or other fabric and cut little triangles out of the edges to make the cute top layer of fabric
3) Fold your 4 circles to create 4 pieces of pie, I used the hot glue gun to keep the circles folded by putting some hot glue down in the folds.
4) Once you have everything cut stack your bottom circle/flower then your 4 pieces of pie on top evenly spread on the base and add your top layer of wool felt and then your button. Take your needle and thread and sew the layers together going through the button on top.
5) When are all done you can use the hot glue gun to put your hair clip on the back of your flower
Have fun with these, you can use any pretty fabric you find and make them for all those special girlies in your life!
