These chocolate buttersweet cookies are so yummy and just melt in your mouth good! These are my mother’s recipes! I am so thankful she shared them with me and now I get to share them with you! I think the best kind of recipe is the one that is passed down to you from a loved one. When you are making that special recipe you just feel so connected to them and it just makes the recipe taste that much better! That is how I felt while I was making these chocolate buttersweet cookies!
I am a coconut lover so these chocolate buttersweet cookies are right up my alley! Even if you aren’t much of a coconut lover the yummy chocolate on top tones down the coconut flavor. So everyone in your house can enjoy these cookies and have a sweet bite out of them!

Ingredients
- Cookie Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup butter (softened)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup flour
- Cream Nut Filling
- 3oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup coconut
- Chocolate Frosting:
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1/2 cup sifted powdered sugar
Instructions
- Cream butter, add sugar and vanilla; cream well then gradually add flour.
- Shape by teaspoonfuls into balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Press holes in the center of each and bake at 350°f for 12-15 minutes.
- Cream Nut Filing: Soften 3oz cream cheese, blend in sifted powdered sugar, flour, and vanilla; cream well
- Stir in chopped walnut and coconut
- Chocolate Frosting: Melt chocolate chips, butter, and water over low heat, stirring occasionally. Add the sifted powdered sugar and beat smooth.
